Company-Sponsored Golf Tournament Leads to Drunk Driver Killing Two Young Girls

On August 9, 2013, two girls were killed by a drunk driver in Anchorage, Alaska. The drunk driver worked as a salesmen for Puget Sound Pipe and Supply and was attending a company-sponsored golf tournament hours before he hit the girls with his vehicle. The families filed a wrongful death civil suit in Anchorage on May 30, 2014. They are suing both the driver and his employer. The complaint alleges that the drunk driver’s employer over-served alcohol to him at the golf tournament and that they are vicariously liable for his actions. The Anchorage Daily News reported on the story here.
